Apex boat ramp closure

The Apex Park boat ramp at North Narooma will be closed between 4-28 August 2015 to allow improvement work to be carried out.

The upgrade of the boat ramp, which is being managed by Eurobodalla Shire Council, is being carried out in two stages:

  • Stage 1 – involved the construction of a new two lane concrete boat ramp, refurbishment of the existing fixed timber jetty, upgrade of lighting at the boat ramp and repairs to the car park next to the boat ramp. This work was completed in June 2015.
  • Stage 2 – involves the installation of a centre ramp modular pontoon (24m x 2m) and installation of new lower level access steps on the existing jetty. This work will be carried out while the boat ramp is closed during August 2015.

Other boat ramps in the Narooma area that can be used to access the Wagonga Estuary and the ocean while the Apex Park boat ramp is closed include:

  • Forsters Bay boat ramp on Lake View Drive, West Narooma.
  • Mill Bay boat ramp on Centenary Drive, Narooma (east of the Narooma Bridge).

Upgrade of the Apex Park boat ramp facility is being jointly funded under the Better Boating and NSW Boating Now programs by the NSW Government and Eurobodalla Shire Council.
