Work starts to extend noise wall on Heathcote Road

Lee Evans Member for Heathcote today announced Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) will start work to extend the noise wall on Heathcote Road adjacent to Odean Place from Rialto Place to Forum Drive at Heathcote “The extension of the noise wall aims to reduce traffic noise for homes and other buildings and will match the existing wall in terms of colour, height and material.

“RMS will close the kerbside lane on Heathcote road, 350m from the Princes Highway to Forum Drive, on the night of Thursday 31 January to set up the worksite and install temporary concrete barriers,” Mr Evans said.

“Extension work will start from Monday 4 February on weekdays between 7am to 6pm and on Saturdays 8am to 1pm.

“The work will be carried out for approximately four months, weather permitting.

“Every effort will be made to minimise noise associated with the work.

“Motorists are advised to drive with caution, obey all signs, including reduced speed limits, and allow extra travel time.
