New school zone for PAL International College at Canley Vale

Charlie Lynn, Liberal MLC for South West Sydney today announced Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) will install a new school zone on First Avenue and Carcoola Street at Canley Vale.

“RMS will install a 130 metre school zone on First Avenue and a 70 metre school zone along Carcoola Street for the new PAL International College,” Mr Lynn said.

“The 40km/h school zone speed limit will operate from 8.00am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 4.00pm on gazetted school days. “The new school zone signs are expected to be installed from Friday 1 February, weather permitting with the new zone operational from this date.

“RMS urges motorists to obey the 40km/h school zone speed limit.

“Members of the community can sign up at the Safer Roads NSW website www.saferroadsnsw.com.au to receive updates about changes to permanent speed limits in their nominated area,” Mr Lynn said.
