Olympic Highway road improvements under way at Henty

Member for Albury, Greg Aplin today announced Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) has started road improvement work on the Olympic Highway at Henty.

“The NSW Government has committed $1.1 million in funding for the project to repair more than one kilometre of the road surface north of Culcairn,” Mr Aplin said.

“Work will include repairing the road surface, relocating pipes and asphalting over previously completed road work.

“The work aims to provide motorists with a safer and smoother road on which to travel, especially heavy vehicle drivers.

“Work should also result in improved drainage and reduced future maintenance costs.

“Work will take place from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm Saturdays.

“Work is expected to be completed by 11 April, weather permitting,” Mr Aplin said.

RMS is also carrying out other works on the Olympic Highway at Yerong Creek Bridge and The Rock.
