Essential repairs completed on bridge over F6 Freeway
Lee Evans Member for Heathcote today announced motorists can again use the southbound exit to the Old Princes Highway from the F6 with essential maintenance on the bridge completed.
"Repair work to keep the bridge over the northbound lanes of the F6 Southern Freeway in good condition started in February,” Mr Evans said.
"Good weather in the past six weeks has helped the work to be completed on time and on budget.
“The $370 000 project involved completely jacking up the bridge to replace a worn bridge bearing.
“The work is part of the NSW Governments commitment to maintaining the State road network to ensure this important link serves the community well into the future.
“RMS thanks motorists for their patience while this important work was carried out,” Mr Evans said.
