Temporary closure of Station Street at Woodford for highway upgrade

A temporary daytime closure of Station Street at Woodford will be in place from 3 June between the service road and Vautin Lane as part of the Great Western Highway upgrade.

“Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is carrying out the final stage of work on the Great Western Highway upgrade to widen the existing highway to four lanes from Winbourne Road at Hazelbrook to Station Street at Woodford,” Roza Sage MP said.

“Motorists and residents are advised excavation, pipe laying, drainage and road rebuilding will be carried out from Monday 3 June to Monday 3 September from 7am-6pm on weekdays and 8am-1pm on Saturdays.

“Detours will be in place to access sections of Station Street and the highway via Glen Street and Vautin Lane.

“Traffic controllers and electronic signs will direct motorists and RMS will advise residents of the closure by letter,” Mrs Sage said.
