Upgrade work starts on Camden Bypass Bridge at Narellan
Member for Camden Chris Patterson today announced work is starting next week on the Camden Bypass Bridge above Richardson Road at Narellan to extend the life of the bridge and improve road safety.
"Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) will carry out three weeks of work to the Camden Bypass Bridge to resurface the bridge deck and improve its structural support to ensure the bridge stays in top condition," Mr Patterson said.
"Weekday work will be carried out from Monday 8 July between 10am and 2.30pm, and on Saturdays between 8am and 3pm.
"RMS will carry out work for five nights from 9.30pm to 4.30am from Monday 15 July to resurface the bridge deck.
"RMS will stabilise the support anchors of the bridge walls as part of the work.
"Partial lane closures will be needed to create a safe work space.
"Electronic signs and traffic controllers will be on site to direct motorists.
"Every effort will be made to minimise the impact of noise on local residents and business operators.
"Motorists are advised to drive with caution, obey all signs, including reduced speed limits, and allow extra travel time.
