School zone extension for St Patrick’s College at Sutherland

Pedestrian safety will soon be improved on President Avenue at Sutherland with the school zone associated with St Patrick’s College to be extended.

“Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) will extend the zone on President Avenue by 65 metres to the east, and include 120 metres of Glencoe Street to improve safety at two other school access points,” Lee Evans MP said.

“The 40km/h school zone will continue to operate from 8.00am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 4.00pm on gazetted school days.
“The new school zone signs are expected to be installed from Wednesday 31 July, weather permitting. “RMS urges motorists to slow down to 40km/h during school zone hours to ensure the safety of all road
users, particularly school students,” Lee Evans said.

Members of the community can sign up at the Safer Roads NSW website www.saferroadsnsw.com.au to receive updates about changes to permanent speed limits in their nominated area.
