Tree trimming on Old Northern Road at Glenorie and Maroota
Motorists and residents are advised maintenance work will be carried out on Old Northern Road between Timaru Road at Glenorie and Wisemans Ferry Road at Maroota to trim trees to improve road safety.
Member for Hawkesbury Ray Williams said the NSW Government provided $100,000 to the road safety project.
“Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) will carry out work to trim trees for one month starting from Monday 26 August,” Mr Williams said.
“Work will be carried out on weekdays from 7am and 5pm, weather permitting.
“Work will include trimming trees close to the road and removing overhanging branches which can drop unexpectedly onto the road.
“Electronic message signs and traffic controllers will be in place to advise of changed traffic conditions and there will be partial lane closures to create a safe work space.
“Every effort will be made to minimise noise and disruption to residents.
“Motorists are reminded to obey all signs including reduced speed limits,” Mr Williams said.
