Tender awarded for final stage of Camden Valley Way upgrade

The Camden Valley Way upgrade is nearing completion with the contract to build the
$95 million final 3.2 kilometre stage from Bringelly Road to Ingleburn Road at Leppington awarded to BMD Constructions.

“Camden Valley Way is a major arterial road linking the Hume Highway, M7 and M5 interchange at Prestons with Camden, Narellan and Harrington Park in Sydney's south west,” Mr Patterson said.

“The NSW Government has committed $280 million to upgrade Camden Valley by late 2015 including $30 million this financial year to build the final 3.2 kilometre section from Bringelly Road to Ingleburn Road.”
Mr Patterson said building work for the final stage is expected to start later this year. “Now the tender has been awarded, work will start on the last section from Bringelly
Road to Ingleburn Road, reducing travel times and congestion.

“Work is progressing well on the two sections between Ingleburn Road to Oran Park Drive.

“Motorists will be able to drive on completed southbound lanes between Ingleburn and St Andrews roads at Leppington from the end of this month.

“Electronic message signs and traffic controllers will be in place to direct motorists at each stage of the project.

“Every effort will be made to minimise the impact of noise and work on residents,” Mr Patterson said.
