Road safety improvements on Parker Street at Kingswood

Member for Penrith Stuart Ayres MP advises motorists and residents that maintenance work will be carried out from Tuesday 8 October on Parker Street between the Great Western Highway and Coreen Avenue at Kingswood to improve road safety.

“The $675,000 project is fully funded by the NSW Government,” Mr Ayres said.

“Roads and Maritime Services will carry out work for one month from 8pm to 5am, excluding Saturdays, weather permitting.

“Work will include resurfacing the road to provide a safer road surface.

“Partial road closures will be in place while work is carried out to ensure safety for workers and motorists.

“Electronic message signs and traffic controllers will be in place to advise of changed traffic conditions

“Minor delays are expected and every effort will be made to minimise noise and disruption to residents.

“Motorists are reminded to follow all signs including reduced speed limits,” Mr Ayres said.
