Berrry to Bomaderry upgrade animation live
Member for Kiama Gareth Ward has invited the community to see what the Princes Highway upgrade between Berry and Bomaderry will look like, with an animation of the project design available online.
“This is great news for the community as it will help them visualise what the completed design will look like,” Mr Ward said.
“The NSW Government provided $3 million this financial year to progress planning for the upgrade which aims to increase traffic capacity and reduce delays for motorists travelling on the South Coast.
“The proposed upgrade of the Princes Highway between Berry and Bomaderry will improve travel and safety by providing a four lane divided road for 11.5km from Schofields Lane at Berry to Cambewarra Road at Bomaderry.
The animation provides a visual representation of the four lanes of upgraded highway based on the proposed concept design.
“Motorists can view the animation on the RMS website at http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/projects/south-coast/berry-to-bomaderry/video-gallery/index.html.
“Traffic depicted in the video is based on projected 2019 peak travel time volumes and shows general project features,” Mr Ward said.
More information is available on the project website at www.rms.nsw.gov.au/bbu or by calling the Project Information Line, toll free on 1800 506 976.
The community is reminded the concept design and review of environmental factors for the upgrade is on display until Friday 29th November for community comment.
