Night work on Coronation Parade at Strathfield and Croydon Park
Member for Strathfield Charles Casuscelli is advising motorists that night work will start this Sunday 24 November on Coronation Parade from Chiswick Street to Plymouth Street at Strathfield and Croydon Park to provide a more durable road surface and improve road safety.
“The NSW Government provided $803,000 toward road resurfacing project with stage one work completed in October. “Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) will carry out the next stage of work for two weeks from this Sunday to replace concrete slabs and line marking.
“The work will be carried out from 8pm to 5am, excluding Saturdays, weather permitting,” Mr Casuscelli said.
Roads and Maritime will provide advanced notice by electronic message sign and letter of the remaining work which will include diamond grinding of the road to improve the surface.
Partial road closures will be in place while work is carried out to ensure safety for workers and motorists.
“RMS advises that minor delays are expected and every effort will be made to minimise noise and disruption to motorists and residents,” said Mr Casuscelli.
Motorists are reminded to obey all signs including reduced speed limits.
This project is part of Roads and Maritime’s commitment to deliver safe, efficient and high quality services and infrastructure to the community and businesses of NSW.
