New school zone installed at George Bass School

A new school zone will be installed on Johnston Road, Bass Hill for the opening of George Bass School at the start of Term 1 this year.

“Roads and Maritime Services will install the new school zone on Johnston Road for 200 metres to ensure motorists slow down as students and parents access the main entrance to the new school,” Parliamentary Secretary for Transport and Roads Ray Williams MP said.

“The 40km/h school zone will operate from 8am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 4pm on gazetted school days, from the start of term one this year.

“The new school zone signs are expected to be installed from Thursday 23 January, weather permitting.

“Motorists are reminded to slow down to 40km/h during school zone hours to ensure the safety of all road users, especially students,” Mr Williams said.
