Australia Day long weekend traffic changes for Princes Highway upgrade at Gerringong
Member for Kiama Gareth Ward has advised motorists of traffic changes which will be in place for the Princes Highway upgrade at Gerringong for the Australia Day long weekend.
Mr Ward said that the speed limit will be increased to 80km/h from 3pm Friday 24 January to 7am Tuesday 28 January northbound on the Princes Highway from Toolijooa Road to Mount Pleasant.
“The speed limit increase will also apply southbound on the Princes Highway from Mount Pleasant to north of Rose Valley Road and southbound on the Princes Highway from Fern Street to Toolijooa Road,” he said.
“The 60 km/h speed limit will remain in place southbound on the Princes Highway between north of Rose Valley Road and Fern Street.
“The 60 km/h reduced speed limit will be back in place from 7am Tuesday 28 January between Mount Pleasant Road and Toolijooa Road for the safety of motorists and workers.
“Reduced speed limits are implemented to ensure the safety of all road users where changed traffic conditions exist.
“Motorists are advised to plan their journey, allow extra travel time and obey all signs,” Mr Ward said.
