Speed limit change on Charles Booth Way at Millthorpe
Motorists are encouraged to slow down on Charles Booth Way, Millthorpe with a speed limit change due to be implemented from Friday 31 January, weather permitting.
Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said Roads and Maritime Services has carried out a review of the road as part of the NSW audit of speed zones and in response to community feedback.
“The review assessed a number of factors along the road including pedestrian activity, road environment, traffic characteristics and crash data,” Mr Toole said.
The existing speed limit will be reduced to 60 km/h for the entire length of Charles Booth Way.
Warning signs will be in place to advise motorists of the changes and will remain for at least a week after the new speed limit signs have been installed.
Members of the community can sign up at the Safer Roads NSW website to receive updates about changes to permanent speed limits in their nominated area and have their say on speed limits.
