Night work on Bentinck Street Bathurst

Motorists are advised there will be changed traffic conditions from this Sunday for geotechnical investigations to be carried out on Bentinck Street in Bathurst.

The ground investigations involve drilling boreholes and digging test pits. The information gathered will be used for future improvements to the road.

Work will be carried out from 7pm to 5am for three nights from Sunday 23 March to Tuesday morning 25 March, weather permitting.

The work will be carried out at night in order to minimise the impact on motorists travelling between the Great Western Highway and Russell Street. The cross streets, Howick and Russell, will be remain open to traffic. Detours will be clearly signposted.

Lane closures will occur as necessary and traffic controllers and signs will be in place to direct motorists. The speed limit will be reduced to 40 km/h through the work site.

There will be some noise associated with this work including reversing alarms.

Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and follow all signs.
