Consultation report online for Prospect Highway upgrade
Parliamentary Secretary for Transport and Roads Ray Williams MP thanked community members for their feedback on the early concept design for the Prospect Highway upgrade which aims to improve safety and meet future traffic demand.
“The NSW Government provided $2 million this year to continue planning the upgrade between Reservoir Road at Prospect and St Martins Crescent at Blacktown,” Mr Williams said.
“The upgrade will widen the highway to two lanes in each direction connecting Blacktown and the M4 Western Motorway and duplicate the bridges across the M4 and Great Western Highway.
“The mainly positive feedback in the 131 submissions received focused on design, reducing noise from future building work, reducing congestion and improving road safety.
“Roads and Maritime Services will use the feedback to develop the concept design and continue assessments to inform the Review of Environmental Factors for the project expected to be displayed for community comment before July this year.
“Community members are being mailed a community update this week to advise them the consultation report containing responses to feedback is now online,” Mr Williams said.
