Castlereagh Highway upgrade at Redbank

Monday 26 May 2014

Safety improvements on the industrial area of the Castlereagh Highway at Mudgee will start on Monday.

Member for Orange, Andrew Gee said the NSW Government has allocated $675,000 for the work to carry out significant repairs on a section of the road at Redbank.

“The project is a part of Roads and Maritime Services’ commitment to improve safety and reduce ongoing maintenance costs on western NSW roads,” Mr Gee said.

“Work will be carried out by Mid-Western Regional Council on behalf of Roads and Maritime.”

Work will be carried out from Monday to Friday from 6pm to 6am to reduce the impact to motorists and nearby businesses. It is expected to be completed in early June.

During work, traffic will be maintained in both directions except for one shift which will require alternating traffic conditions.

Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and follow all signs.
