Road resurfacing work for Colin Knott Drive in Wagga Wagga

Work will start next week on an $800,000 resurfacing project along the Olympic Highway, known locally as Colin Knott Drive, in Wagga Wagga.

Daryl Maguire MP Member for Wagga Wagga said the project would improve the condition of the road between the Boorooma Street exit ramp and the Coolamon Road roundabout.

“Improvements to the road surface will start on Tuesday 10 June and are expected to be completed in about one week, weather permitting,”  Mr Maguire said.

“The existing surface has become worn and needs replacing on this busy route used regularly by vehicles involved in local agriculture and industry.

“This upgrade is part of the NSW Government’s commitment to provide quality road infrastructure for NSW motorists,” Mr Maguire said.

Work will be carried out on weekdays between 9.30am and 3.30pm and from 7am to 5pm on weekends.

Alternating traffic conditions will be in place during work.

Traffic controllers and electronic message signs will guide motorists through the site and there will be reduced speed limits of 60 km/h and 40 km/h for safety reasons.
