New Grafton Bridge animation now online
The community can take a virtual tour of the proposed new Grafton Bridge, with an animation of the project now available online.
"This is exciting news for the community because it will help them visualise the completed bridge design and understand local road changes," Mr Gulaptis said.
“The preferred route for the new crossing is located about 70 metres downstream of the existing Grafton Bridge and connects the Pacific and Gwydir highways at South Grafton, with Villiers Street in Grafton, via Pound Street.
“The proposal also includes upgrades to local roads surrounding the new bridge and a dedicated shared path for pedestrians and cyclists.
“The community is reminded to have a say on an environmental impact assessment on the proposed new bridge before 19 September.
Motorists can see the concept design animation on the Roads and Maritime’s website.
The EIS is on display at the Grafton and Maclean libraries, the foyer of Maclean Council, Roads and Maritime's northern region and Pacific Highway offices and also at www.majorprojects.planning.nsw.gov.au.
