Road improvements start on Bucketts Way at Stroud
George Souris, M.P., Member for Upper Hunter said motorists will soon benefit from upgrade work to improve safety on Bucketts Way from Laman Street to Broadway Street at Stroud.
“The NSW Government has provided $200,000 under the REPAIR program to widen existing lanes and resurface areas of the road to increase safety, reduce ongoing maintenance costs and extend the life of the road,” Mr. Souris said.
“Work starts on Monday 22 September and is expected to be completed before Christmas, weather permitting.
“This project aims to improve safety, reduce congestion and promote a safer journey for motorists in the Upper Hunter.
“This work is part of more than $60 million in road upgrades in the Upper Hunter the NSW Government has committed this year,” Mr. Souris said.
“Bucketts Way will remain open during work with a reduced speed limit in place. Signs will be in place to inform road users of changed traffic conditions.
“For more information on road projects in the Upper Hunter visit www.rms.nsw.gov.au,” Mr. Souris concluded.
