Changed traffic conditions on Princes Highway at Albion Park Rail
18 September 2014
Member for Kiama Gareth Ward has today advised local motorists that work will be carried out on the Princes Highway at Albion Park Rail on Sunday night to help plan for future maintenance.
Mr Ward said that the work will take place between Nehme Avenue and Tongarra Road this Sunday 21st September and involve core samples being taken from the road.
“The samples will be tested to indicate the condition of the road surface and determine future maintenance needs,” he said.
“Every effort will be made to minimise the impact of noise on nearby residents.
“One southbound lane will be closed for work to be carried out between 7pm and 5am, weather permitting.
“Motorists are reminded to follow reduced speed limits and the direction of traffic controllers.
“I certainly thank local motorists for their patience and understanding whilst this important work is being carried out,” Mr Ward said.
