Changed traffic conditions in Bathurst
31 October 2014
Roads and Maritime Services advises motorists changed traffic conditions will be in place on Bentinck Street between Durham and Russell streets in Bathurst from Monday 3 November for road improvements.
The $150,000 project which involves the replacement of the existing road surface for improved road safety will be carried out at night to minimise the impact on road users and local businesses.
Night work will be carried out from 10pm to 6am from Sunday to Thursday and is expected to take about five weeks to complete, weather permitting.
For the safety of road users and workers full street closures of one block at a time will be in place during work hours.
Heavy vehicles will be detoured via Havannah Street and light vehicles will use other local streets.
Outside of work hours, both lanes will be open to traffic.
Motorists are advised the plan their journey, follow all signs and the direction of traffic control.
