5 November 2014
Member for Kiama Gareth Ward today announced that the New South Wales Government will start work this week to improve drainage on Belinda Street as part of the $329 million Princes Highway upgrade at Gerringong.
Mr Ward said that the night work will take place between the railway bridge and Princes Highway on Friday 7th, Sunday 9th, Monday 10th and Wednesday 26th November, weather permitting.
“Motorists will have access to Belinda Street during this work under the direction of traffic control between 8pm and 5am,” he said.
“The work will also require the temporary full closure of Belinda Street with no access to or from the Princes Highway on Tuesday 11th November between 8pm and 5am, weather permitting.
“During this time, motorists accessing Gerringong are advised to use Fern Street.
“Northbound motorists should use Rose Valley Road to access Fern Street.“Motorists are asked to plan their journey, follow all temporary signs and reduced speed limits.“I certainly thank local motorists for their patience whilst this important work is being carried out as part of the major Princes Highway upgrade at Gerringong,” Mr Ward said.
