New amenities for Paddy's Rest Area at Eungai Creek
10 November 2014
Motorists travelling along the Pacific Highway will now benefit from new amenities opening today at Paddy’s rest area at Eungai Creek.
Member for Oxley Andrew Stoner said, “The NSW Government allocated $235,000 for the installation of the new amenities for the popular rest area.”
“The important project has provided a new and more modern amenities block, complete with solar powered lighting and new footpaths.”
“Paddy’s Rest is a particularly popular rest area for motorists and the older facilities were struggling to cope with increasing use.”
“The upgraded amenities will benefit the more than 11,000 motorists that use this section of the Pacific Highway daily,” said Andrew Stoner.
“Roads and Maritime Services is committed to improving road safety and upgrading rest areas where motorists can take breaks on their journeys.”
Roads and Maritime worked in partnership with NSW Public Works to design and build the new amenities.
