Changed traffic conditions on the Great Western Highway at Kelso
19th November 2014
Roads and Maritime Services advises motorists changed traffic conditions will be in place from tomorrow night on two sections of the Great Western Highway at Kelso for early work on the upgrade of the $85 million Great Western Highway at Kelso.
The upgrade will involve rebuilding and widening the highway from Stockland Drive to just east of Ashworth Drive to provide a four lane divided road with a central concrete median.
Work to move traffic barriers and line marking will be carried out at night to reduce the impact to motorists and will involve reducing the highway to one lane of traffic just east of Ashworth Drive.
Work crews will remove concrete barriers from the edge line of the eastbound lane and carry out line marking.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane between Boyd Creek and Littlebourne Street for the placement of concrete barriers on the edge line on the westbound lane.
Work will be carried out from 8pm to 6am tomorrow and Sunday 23 November.
Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and follow all signs. Traffic control will be on site to direct motorists.
