Improvement work starts on Millthorpe road at Millthorpe
14 January 2015
Road users will soon benefit from work starting tomorrow to improve the road surface and widen road shoulders on Millthorpe Road at Millthorpe.
Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said the NSW Government allocated $380,000 this year to improve the surface of Millthorpe Road to reduce the likelihood of flooding and ensure the road serves the community into the future.
“Work will be carried out from around three kilometres north west of Wombiana Lane to 3.6 kilometres north west of Wombiana Lane until mid February.”
“Sections of the road surface will be removed and replaced and road shoulders will be widened to one metre to improve safety.
”Blayney Share Council will carry out the work on behalf of Roads and Maritime Services on weekdays from 7am to 6pm and on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm, weather permitting.
“One lane will remain open to traffic at all times and minor delays can be expected,” Mr Toole said.
Mr Toole thanks motorists and the community for their patience during this essential work.
