29 May 2015
Roads and Maritime Services advises motorists there will be changed traffic conditions from Monday 1 June on the Olympic Highway at Culcairn for road resurfacing work.
The NSW Government provided $520,000 to improve the road surface which will reduce future maintenance costs.
“The project involves resurfacing sections of the Olympic Highway from Gamble Street to the roundabout with Balfour Street,” Member for Albury, Greg Aplin said.
“Work will be carried out on weekdays between 7am and 5pm until Friday 12 June, weather permitting.
“Partial lane closures will be in place while the work is carried out for the safety of road users and workers.
“Motorists should plan their trip, allow extra travel time and follow the drection of traffic controllers and all signs including reduced speed limits.”
Up to date information, including any date changes and detours will be displayed on electronic message signs along the road.
Efforts will be made to minimise the impact of noise on nearby residents and businesses.
Roads and Maritime thanks motorists for their patience during this important road maintenance project.
