Changed traffic conditions for night work on Lawrence Hargrave Drive
15 September 2015
Roads and Maritime Services advises motorists of changed traffic conditions next week for night work on Lawrence Hargrave Drive at Coledale and Wombarra to improve road user safety.
Member for Heathcote, Lee Evans said the NSW Government allocated $900,000 for maintenance work between Park Street and Squires Crescent in Coledale and between Coledale Hospital and Morrison Avenue in Wombarra.
“The work will provide a safer road surface for all motorists and reduce ongoing maintenance costs,” Mr Evans said.
“The road will be resurfaced at both locations from Monday 21 to Sunday 27 September between 7pm and 5am, excluding Friday and Saturday nights, weather permitting.”
For the safety of workers and motorists traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place with motorists directed to detour via Squires Crescent, Rawson Street, Young Street, Cater Street and Northcote Street.
Motorists should plan their trip, allow extra travel time and follow the direction of traffic control and all signs.
Roads and Maritime will make every effort to minimise noise associated with the work and thanks motorists for their patience while this work is carried out.
