Submissions Report for Pacific Highway upgrade at Lisarow
9 October 2015
The community is invited to view the Roads and Maritime Services submissions report in response to feedback received on the draft review of environmental factors (REF) for the Pacific Highway upgrade between Parsons Road and Ourimbah Street at Lisarow.
Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast, Scot MacDonald MLC said the NSW Government has announced $126 million for the upgrade as part of the Rebuilding NSW Plan with $3 million allocated this financial year to continue planning work.
“The upgrade involves widening the Pacific Highway to provide two lanes in each direction between Parsons Road and Ourimbah Street with upgrades to key intersections and would improve traffic flow, travel times and safety for the 30,000 road users using this section of the highway daily,” Mr MacDonald said.
“The report summarises the feedback received during the draft review of environmental factors display in February and March and responds to the issues raised.”
“These issues included design, consultation, traffic and transport issues as well as non-Aboriginal heritage and property matters,” Mr MacDonald said.
Roads and Maritime thanks the community for their feedback and will now finalise the concept design and REF for the project, taking this feedback into consideration.
The community will be invited to provide further feedback when the final REF and a species impact statement are displayed next year.
The draft REF submissions report is now available on the Roads and Maritime website at www.rms.nsw.gov.au/projects.
