$1.25 million upgrade starts on Henry Parkes Way at West Manildra
Friday, 9 October 2015
Road users will soon benefit from road surface upgrades on Henry Parkes Way, west of Manildra.
Member for Orange Andrew Gee said $1.25 million NSW Government funding had been allocated to improve the road surface for road users.
“Work will include widening and strengthening the road and shoulders to extend the life of the highway and reduce future maintenance costs,” Mr Gee said.
“Roads and Maritime Services will complete the work from 19 October on weekdays between 7am and 6pm and from 8am to 1pm.
“There may be lane closures in place to ensure the safety of road users and workers.
“Work on the 1.6 kilometre section of the road is expected to be completed by the end of January 2016, weather permitting.”
Motorists should plan ahead, allow extra travel time and follow the direction of traffic controllers and reduced speed limits.
Roads and Maritime thanks motorists for their patience during this important work. For the latest traffic information, visit www.livetraffic.com, download the Live Traffic App or call the Transport Management Centre on 132 701.
