Have a say on proposed night work on Wall Park Avenue at Seven Hills
17 November 2015
Roads and Maritime Services is inviting community feedback on a proposal to carry out essential night maintenance work on Wall Park Avenue at Seven Hills from January 2016.
“The NSW Government is funding an $833,000 maintenance project for road safety improvements between Oldfield Road and the intersection of Seven Hills Road South and the Prospect Highway to provide a stronger and more durable road,” Mark Taylor MP, Member for Seven Hills said.
“Roads and Maritime is seeking community feedback by Monday 30 November on a proposal to work seven night shifts up to five nights a week for two weeks from January 2016.
“The work will include road surfacing, asphalt patching and line marking.
“To reduce the impact for motorists who use this busy road, work would be carried out at night from Sundays to Fridays between 8pm and 5am.
“There is an alternative option to carry out work in seven night shifts during a five week period, working no more than two nights a week.
“To reduce the impact on nearby residents and businesses, loud work including saw cutting, jackhammering and asphalt removal will take place between 8pm and 12pm.
“All community feedback will be considered to further develop the proposed work hours and the community will continue to be updated as the project progresses,” Mr Taylor said.
Roads and Maritime Services encourages community members to provide comments by Monday 30 November to Roads and Maritime Services PO Box 6465 North Ryde NSW 2113 or firstname.lastname@example.org
