Changed traffic conditions for investigation work on Parramatta Road at Five Dock
19 JANUARY 2016
Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on Parramatta Road at Five Dock from next Wednesday for investigation work.
The NSW Government is funding the work as part of the $246 million Pinch Point Program which aims to reduce traffic delays, manage congestion and maintain travel time.
Work will include seven day shifts and three night shifts between Henley Marine Drive and Dobroyd Parade from Wednesday 27 January to Wednesday 17 February, excluding Saturdays, from 7.30am to 5pm and from 8pm to 5am, weather permitting.
The investigation work will include excavating small sections of the road and beneath the bridge over Iron Cove Creek.
Single lane closures will be in place with traffic control and a reduced 40 km/h speed limit in place during work hours for the safety of workers and motorists.
Every effort will be made to minimise the impact of noise associated with the work.
Roads and Maritime thanks the community for its patience while work is carried out.
Electronic message signs on the side of the road will display any changes to work dates and times.
