Traffic changes on Foxground and Berry Bypass project this weekend
21 January 2016
Parliamentary Secretary for the Illawarra and South Coast, and Member for Kiama Gareth Ward has today advised local motorists across the region of changed traffic conditions on the Foxground and Berry bypass project from this Friday to improve journey times for Australia Day motorists and holiday makers.
“Work on the project will be temporarily suspended from Friday 22nd to Wednesday 27th January to minimise the impact on motorists travelling during the final weekend of the summer school holidays and for Australia Day,” Mr Ward said.
“The Princes Highway speed limit will be increased to 80 km/h between Toolijooa Road and just south of Andersons Lane from 6pm on Friday to 7am next Wednesday.
“The existing 60 km/h speed limit from Tindalls Lane to the 50 km/h zone north of Berry will remain in place, as will the 60 km/h speed limit near Schofields Lane.
“The speed limit will also remain at 50 km/h through Berry.
“Roadwork speed limits will be back in place from 7am on Wednesday 27th January, when work resumes on the $580 million project to upgrade the Princes Highway between Toolijooa Road and Andersons Lane,” Mr Ward concluded.
