Work starts on shared pathway link along Richmond Road
27 May 2016
Member for Riverstone, Mr Kevin Conolly MP, is delighted to announce that pedestrians and cyclists will soon be able to benefit from an improved shared path network on the western side of Richmond Road at Colebee, with work starting this week to extend the route.
“To encourage active lifestyles the NSW Government is funding a shared pathway link on Richmond Road which is an important corridor servicing the growing communities of Sydney’s north-west,” Mr Conolly said.

Work will start this week and includes building a new pedestrian bridge over Bells Creek.
Work hours will be from 7am to 6pm on weekdays and between 8am to 1pm on Saturdays, excluding public holidays. The project is expected to be completed by the end of September, weather permitting.
“Changed traffic conditions including temporary lane closures and reduced speed limits may be in place for the safety of workers and commuters.
“I ask commuters to be mindful of any changed traffic conditions in this area and please follow the direction of traffic controls and allow extra time to travel to your destinations while these important works are in progress” said Mr Conolly.
The NSW Government is also continuing to deliver the nearby $96 million Richmond Road upgrade to improve capacity along a critical north-south corridor as part of a huge program of work to support growth and provide better road connections to and from the region.
“I thank the community in advance for their patience while these important road works are being carried out” Mr Conolly said.
The upgrade between Townson Road and north of Garfield Road West is well under way and is expected to be completed in late 2016.
