Changed traffic conditions on Toolijooa Road as work continues on bypass
27 June 2016
Member for Kiama Gareth Ward has today advised local motorists of changed traffic conditions from this Wednesday on Toolijooa Road at Toolijooa as work continues on the $580 million Foxground and Berry bypass project.
Mr Ward said that the final road surface will be laid on the realigned Toolijooa Road, with work being carried out between 8am and 5pm on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th June, weather permitting.
“For the safety of workers and motorists, there will be no access to and from the Princes Highway at Toolijooa Road during work hours,” he said.
“All alternative routes to access the Princes Highway will be sign posted.
“Access for local buses will be provided and the bus bay on Toolijooa Road will be accessible for parents and carers, with provisions made for the bus to drop off and pick up children safely.
“Traffic control and signs will be in place to help direct motorists, who are advised to plan their journey and allow additional travel time,” Mr Ward concluded.
