Changed traffic conditions south of Berry to prepare for bridge opening
12 July 2016
Member for Kiama Gareth Ward has advised local motorists of changed traffic conditions this week on the Princes Highway, south of Berry between Kangaroo Valley Road and Mullers Lane to progress work on the highway and Kangaroo Valley Road Bridge.
Mr Ward said that to reduce the impact to motorists, night work is in place until Wednesday 20th July, to prepare for the opening of the bridge this month, weather permitting.
“The work which is being carried out between 6pm and 7am involves resurfacing the new northbound lanes of the Princes Highway near Andersons and Schofields lanes and at Kangaroo Valley Road,” he said.
“Traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place through the work sites for the safety of workers and motorists.
“This work is part of the New South Wales Government’s fully funded $580 million Foxground and Berry bypass Princes Highway upgrade,” Mr Ward said.
