Norwest Boulevard traffic flow improvements are open to traffic
22 July 2016
Mr Kevin Conolly MP, Member for Riverstone, today announced the improved intersections of the Norwest Boulevard with Greenhill Drive and Old Windsor Road in Glenwood are open to traffic.
Mr Conolly said the $820,000 project aimed at improving traffic flow along Norwest Boulevard was delivered as part of the NSW Government’s $246 million Pinch Point program, which aims to manage congestion and reduce delays on Sydney’s major road corridors.
Norwest Boulevard provides access to Norwest Business Park, surrounding residential areas including Bella Vista and is a key connection between Windsor and Old Windsor roads.
“The NSW Government has delivered right turn bay extensions at Greenhill Drive and Old Windsor Road to reduce queuing in through lanes between the M7 Motorway and Norwest Business Park” Mr Conolly said.
The eastbound right turn lane into Old Windsor Road and westbound right turn lane into Greenhill Drive have been extended to provide additional space for vehicles waiting turn.
