Have a say on proposed Wyong Road crossing
Sunday, 11 September 2016
Roads and Maritime Services is inviting the community to have a say on a proposal to install a mid-block crossing on Wyong Road at Killarney Vale.
Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast Scot MacDonald said the NSW Government allocated $450,000 this financial year to start planning the upgrade to improve pedestrian connections and safety on Wyong Road, west of the Central Coast Highway.
“The proposal includes installing a mid-block crossing between the roundabout on The Entrance Road and Kathleen White Crescent to allow pedestrians to safely cross Wyong Road,” Mr MacDonald said.
“This work would also include installing mid-block traffic lights to further improve pedestrian safety at this location.”
Mr MacDonald said connecting footpaths, kerb, gutters and ramps to improve pedestrian access to the new traffic lights would form part of the project.
“The community is invited to view the proposed design and provide feedback by 5pm on Friday 16 September,” Mr MacDonald said.
Feedback can be emailed to the Project Manager Peter Talbot at firstname.lastname@example.org, by writing to Roads and Maritime Services, Locked Bag 2030 Newcastle or by calling 02 4924 0676 during business hours.
All feedback will be considered when finalising the proposal and the community will be updated as the project progresses.
