Changed traffic conditions on Princes Highway at Broughton Village
19 September 2016
Member for Kiama Gareth Ward has today advised local motorists of changed traffic conditions on the Princes Highway at Broughton Village this week for maintenance work to improve road user safety.
Mr Ward said that resurfacing work will be carried out for around 200 metres in both lanes of the Highway between Thompsons Road to south of Tomlins Road from Thursday 22 September to provide a safer road for motorists.
“Work will take place between 7pm and 1am, excluding weekends, until Thursday 29 September, weather permitting,” he said.
“For the safety of workers and motorists, lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place during work hours and delays of up to five minutes may be experienced.
“I am advised that every effort will be made to minimise noise associated with the work.
“I also thank local motorists for their patience whilst this important maintenance work is being carried out,” Mr Ward concluded.
