Have your say on night work on Heathcote Road at Engadine
Wednesday 22 March 2017
Community members are invited to give feedback on safety work on Heathcote Road at Engadine as part of the NSW Government’s $300 million Gateway to the South Program.
Member for Heathcote Lee Evans said the work involves adjusting the road levels and alignments between 1.3 to 2.3 kilometres north of the Princes Highway at Engadine.
“The NSW Government is committed to improving the road network to ease congestion, provide more reliable journey times and boost safety for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists,” Mr Evans said. “This work is an example of that commitment and includes replacing sections of asphalt and guardrail, installing new signs, pavement markings and painting road markings.”
Members of the community are encouraged to provide feedback on the proposed night work schedule, to ensure work is carried out as quickly as possible to reduce the impact to road users.
The proposed work hours are from 8pm to 5am, excluding Saturdays, up to five nights a week for six weeks or up to three nights a week for 10 weeks.
Comments can be provided by writing to Ventia Boral Amey Joint Venture PO Box 838 Rockdale NSW 2216, emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 1800 677 700 by 10 April.
Roads and Maritime Services will consider all feedback and keep the community updated as the proposal progresses, with work expected to start between May and June this year.
