Preliminary works to commence at proposed Denmark Link Road, Riverstone

9 June 2017

Member for Riverstone Kevin Conolly announced today that survey and investigation work will commence from Monday 19 June 2017 for the proposed Denmark Link Road at Riverstone.

The NSW Government is funding planning work for the proposed Denmark Link Road from the intersection of Garfield Road West and Denmark Road, Riverstone to the Westminster Street Bridge, Schofields.

“The proposed Denmark Link Road would reduce congestion and delays that are currently experienced at the Garfield Road railway crossing at Riverstone and provide an alternative local road connection for light vehicles wanting to use the Westminster Street Bridge,” said Mr Conolly.

From Monday 19 June to Friday 15 September 2017, weather permitting, Roads and Maritime Services will carry out survey and investigation work to help develop the design for the proposed Denmark Link Road.

Access to some private properties may be required during this time in order to carry out this work and owners will be contacted in advance by RMS staff to discuss access requirements.

The work, including traffic modelling, service utility and environmental/heritage investigations, will take place along the proposed corridor between 7am and 6pm.

Roads and Maritime is continuing planning and field investigation work to inform the concept design and Review of Environmental Factors, which will be displayed for community consultation in 2018. Stakeholders will be kept informed of the project’s progress during the planning phase.
