Changed traffic conditions on Sturt Highway in Wagga Wagga

Daryl Maguire MP, Member for Wagga Wagga is advising motorists of changed traffic conditions for work to be carried out on the Sturt Highway near Bolton Park from Thursday 18 January.
Work involves removing a deep layer of the road surface and replacing it with asphalt. Kerbing and guttering will also be carried out as part of the work and new accesses built for two large commercial developments in the area.
Work will take place from Monday to Saturday between 7am and 6pm from Thursday 18 January with night work starting in mid-February from Monday to Sunday between 6pm and 6am, weather permitting.
Motorists will use one lane in each direction on the Sturt Highway with a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h during work, which is expected to take about seven weeks to complete.
Access to and from properties will be left turn only during work and no parking will be available along the project length, including off street parking at the tennis courts in Bolton Park.
The Fitzhardinge Street and Sturt Highway intersection will be closed to all traffic. The Fitzhardinge and Morgan streets intersection will remain open.
The pedestrian footpath next to the westbound lane will be closed for the duration of the work between Kennards Hire and The Mill development.
Motorists should plan their trip, allow extra travel time and follow all signs.
