Work starts on heavy vehicle stopping bay at Hollydeen

Michael Johnsen MP, Member for Upper Hunter wishes to advise motorists of changed traffic conditions from next Tuesday on the Golden Highway at Hollydeen, with work starting on a new eastbound heavy vehicle stopping bay.
Mr Johnsen said this work will involve building the road surface, line marking and sign posting. Toilets, a shade shelter and bins will also be installed.
Work will be carried out from Tuesday 13 February between 7am to 5pm, excluding Sundays. Work is expected to be completed by May this year, weather permitting.
To ensure the safety of workers and road users, changed traffic conditions will be in place including a reduced 40km/h speed limit and lane closures.
Roads and Maritime Services thanks motorists for their patience while this upgrade is carried out.
