Reminder to have your say for the new Barrington Bridge
11 April 2018
Michael Johnsen MP, Member for Upper Hunter is reminding our local community to provide feedback on the review of environmental factors for construction of a new bridge over the Barrington River on Thunderbolts Way at Barrington.
Mr. Johnsen said construction of a new bridge would improve road freight productivity, improve safety for motorists and pedestrians and ensure the traffic needs of the community in the Barrington, Gloucester and surrounding areas are met.
“The review of environmental factors for the new bridge assessed the potential environmental and social impacts of the proposed work, and identified opportunities to manage and mitigate these impacts. This environmental assessment was prepared in close consultation with key stakeholders and technical specialists,” Mr. Johnsen said.
Stakeholders and the community are reminded to comment on the review of environmental factors for the project by 5pm on Monday 23 April.
The review of environmental factors can be viewed online by visiting rms.work/barrington.
