NSW Government delivering on Appin Road
4 July 2018
The NSW Government is delivering a smoother and safer Appin Road.
That was the message today from Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Roads, Maritime and Transport Kevin Anderson and Duty MLC for Campbelltown Lou Amato.
Mr Anderson said the NSW Government was investing in essential maintenance work on Appin Road between Bradbury and St Helens Park as part of its $1.5 billion program to maintain and improve the 18,028 kilometre state road network.
“Essential maintenance is being carried out between The Parkway and St Helens Park Reserve to minimise damage to roads from weather and wear and tear to make them safer, provide consistent driving conditions and reduce maintenance costs in the long term,” Mr Anderson said.
Mr Amato said the upgrade will improve safety and driving conditions and will also increase longevity of the road surface.
“Work is being carried out at night to minimise delays for motorists and ensure locals are getting the quality roads they need without major inconvenience,” Mr Amato said.
