Winding Creek Bridge maintenance completed
9 August 2011
The Roads and Traffic Authority has completed maintenance on the Winding Creek Bridge on Lake Road, Glendale.
A Roads and Traffic Authority spokesperson said the NSW Government provided $470,000 for the repairs.
“The maintenance involved installing a rock wall and carrying out concrete reinforcement beneath the bridge,” the spokesperson said.
“Lake Road provides an important link to residential and commercial areas in Glendale and forms part of the main road access between Wallsend and Morisset.
“This restoration work will reduce future maintenance costs for the bridge on Lake Road, which crosses the Winding Creek at Glendale,” the spokesperson said.
The Roads and Traffic Authority started the maintenance in March 2011 and finished work at the end of July.
