Temporary closure of motor registries in Northern NSW
25 January 2012
Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is advising of changes to motor registry operations due to flooding in northern NSW.
The Murwillumbah and Tweed Heads motor registries are closed today and are likely to be closed on Friday due to flooding on surrounding roads.
Driver testing has been cancelled at Bellingen and Dorrigo due to flooding. All customers have been notified and tests have been rescheduled.
Additional temporary closures are anticipated for registries in northern NSW, as floodwaters continue to rise.
Customers can verify information about registry closures by phoning the RMS Contact Centre on 13 22 13.
Customers can renew registration, organise a driving test, buy E-tags and arrange a notice of disposal for the sale of a vehicle online at www.myrta.com
RMS thanks customers for their patience as services are affected in flood stricken areas.
