Sapphire to Woolgoolga upgrade community sessions
8 February 2012
Local residents and businesses are invited to two community information sessions being held this month for the Pacific Highway Sapphire to Woolgoolga upgrade.
The information sessions give the community an opportunity to meet the project team, discuss the progress of the project, ask questions and provide feedback.
Representatives will also provide an update on building activities and major upcoming project milestones.
Information sessions will be held on Saturday 25 February at:
- Woolgoolga Community Village Hall Boundary Street, Woolgoolga between 9.30am and 11am
- Training room, Emerald Beach site compound, Emerald Beach (access at Fiddaman Road, Emerald Beach) between 1.30pm and 3pm.
Roads and Maritime Services has engaged the Leighton Fulton Hogan Joint Venture to design and build the $705 million Sapphire to Woolgoolga upgrade.
The 25 kilometre dual carriageway upgrade extends from Sapphire, immediately north of Coffs Harbour, to Arrawarra, north of Woolgoolga. The project consists of an upgrade of the existing highway to a four lane dual carriageway with a bypass to the west of Woolgoolga.
The upgrade will significantly improve road safety and reduce travel times for all users of the highway.
Call 1800 63 63 63 (toll free) by 5pm Wednesday 22 February 2012 to register attendance for catering purposes.
